5. Don’t overdo it: Only gradually return to training after an injury – this will allow your body a chance to heal without reinjury, but you should always feel ready before engaging in jabs or anything more than shadowboxing at first (or even just moving very quickly).

There’s no excuse for overexerting yourself, so don’t ever start throwing punches on recovery days or while hurt.
